Privacy Policy

1. About WondaKid and Children’s Privacy

WondaKid is operated by GLOBAL CULTURE AND MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED. We provide English picture-book reading and learning activities for children aged 3 to 10 through our mobile application, website, Web Reader, and related services (the “Services”). Accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

Parents are in control of the account and child profiles. WondaKid does not provide third-party advertising, public child profiles, open chat, or social posting features. We seek to collect only the information needed to provide, protect, and improve the Services.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the features used, we collect or process:

• Parent account information: Display name, email address, account identifier, sign-in method (email, Apple, or Google), and records showing acceptance of the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Child profile information: A child’s first name or nickname, age, gender, selected preset avatar, language, story interests, reading goal, and reading level. Child profiles are not public.
• Learning activity: Saved books, reading progress and time, completed stories, learning achievements, and reading or game interactions. Some settings, such as screen-time controls, may be stored only on the device.
• Purchases and subscriptions: Product, transaction, subscription, renewal, and entitlement information needed to verify purchases and restore access. Apple or Google processes payment-card details; WondaKid does not directly collect or store full payment-card numbers.
• Device and technical information: Device platform, operating system, app version, language, and push-notification token needed to deliver notifications. On Android, this may also include crash-related diagnostic information needed to keep the Services reliable.

We do not intentionally collect a child’s email address, precise location, contacts, personal photos or videos, or payment-card details.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and secure parent-managed accounts and child profiles;
• Personalize reading activities and save learning progress;
• Verify purchases, subscriptions, and access rights;
• Send service notifications and other notifications enabled by the parent;
• On Android, monitor performance and diagnose crashes;
• Protect the Services and improve features; and
• Respond to support, privacy, and safety requests or meet legal obligations.

4. Service Providers and Sharing

We use a limited number of service providers to operate WondaKid:

• Supabase for account, database, backend, and storage services;
• Google Firebase for push notifications on supported platforms and crash diagnostics on Android;
• Sensors Analytics for product-usage analysis on Android;
• Apple and Google for sign-in, app-store purchases, subscriptions, and device services; and
• Hosting and content-delivery providers for delivering picture-book resources.

When you choose to sign in with a Google account, we use Supabase to authenticate you and process the account identifier, email address and email verification status provided by Google, as well as your name and profile picture URL, if available.

We use this information to verify your identity, create or link your WondaKid account, and sign you in. Supabase, our authentication service provider, helps process and store Google sign-in information.

Sign-in requests are transmitted over HTTPS. Account operations that require sign-in verify the user’s identity.

You can request deletion of your WondaKid account using the account deletion feature in the App. The deletion process deletes the authentication account and cleans up related service data according to the data relationship rules. See Section 6 of this policy for data retention and deletion.

On Android, analytics and crash reporting are configured so they are not intentionally supplied with parent email addresses, child names, payment details, access tokens, or picture-book content.

We do not sell personal information, use children’s information for third-party advertising, or use personal information for cross-app or cross-website tracking. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, security, or legal rights.

5. Parent and Guardian Choices

Parents and legal guardians can review or update child profile information, delete an individual child profile, and request deletion of the WondaKid account in the App.

A verified parent or guardian may contact us to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, subject to applicable law. We may request reasonable information to verify the account holder or guardian before completing a request.

6. Retention and Account Deletion

We retain account and child-profile information while the account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Deleting a child profile or WondaKid account removes the associated information through our account system, except for limited records we may need to retain for legal compliance, purchase records, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.

Deleting a WondaKid account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must also be managed through the applicable app store.

7. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted network transmission, and restricted access to production systems. No system can guarantee complete security.

WondaKid and its service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where a user lives. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards under applicable data-protection law.

8. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Services or legal requirements change and provide additional notice when required.
